Malaysia Advances AI Infrastructure as Nvidia and YTL Power Collaborate to Drive AI Development

On October 31, 2025, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that the collaboration between Nvidia and YTL Power International Bhd in building AI infrastructure in Malaysia marks a significant milestone in the country’s artificial intelligence development.
Prime Minister Anwar highlighted that Malaysia aims to become an AI-leading nation by 2030, leveraging AI to boost productivity, improve public services, and promote a sustainable digital economy. The 600 MW YTL Green Data Centre Park in Kulai, Johor has been completed with liquid-cooled NVL72 Grace Blackwell (GB200) GPUs, supporting the development of a sovereign AI ecosystem.
Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz added that the government has allocated about RM 5.9 billion in the 2026 budget for the national AI sector, emphasizing that strategic investment in AI infrastructure will transform manufacturing and related services, enhancing industrial competitiveness.
