First Trial Phase of RTS Link Set to Begin in December Without Passengers


On November 3, 2025, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the first trial phase of the RTS Link train project — which connects Johor Bahru’s Bukit Chagar station with Singapore’s Woodlands North — is scheduled to begin in December, but will not be open to the public initially.

 

The three key components of this project; have shown positive progress, with the RTS Link Depot at 90 per cent completion, the Bukit Chagar Station at 73 per cent and the ICQ Complex at 76.8 per cent. The target for project completion remains Dec 31 2026 with full operation starting Jan 2027.
