(Singapore, 12 November 2025) — The three-day Singapore FinTech Festival will open at the Singapore Expo, marking its 10th anniversary. This year’s event is themed “The Technology Blueprint for the Next 10 Years of Finance” and is jointly organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Global FinTech & Innovation Network (GFIN), and Constellar, with the support of the Association of Banks in Singapore.

The event brings together over 800 financial, technology, and policy leaders from around the world, including Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia; Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea; Michael Barr, Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve; and Agustín Carstens, former General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements. Participants will engage in more than 400 sessions discussing how artificial intelligence (AI), tokenisation, and quantum computing can drive financial inclusion and global financial innovation.

Across six halls and more than 40 international pavilions, over 500 exhibitors will showcase the latest FinTech solutions and talent opportunities, fostering international exchange and collaboration. During the event, the “Next Gen Leaders Programme” will be launched to support emerging FinTech innovators and entrepreneurs. In addition, the inaugural “2025 SME Sustainability Barometer” will be released, surveying 560 SMEs on green transformation, sustainable financing, and long-term growth practices.

Furthermore, the “Insights Forum” will be held from 10 to 11 November at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, focusing on eight public-private partnership roundtable discussions. The “Innovation Lab Crawl” will feature 11 institutions showcasing pilot projects and emerging technologies, allowing participants to experience innovations in future financial services firsthand.

According to the latest data released by the Singapore Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (SIPMM) on December 2, Singapore’s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) rose to 50.2 in November, marking the fourth consecutive month of expansion. The Electronics PMI also increased slightly to 50.6, maintaining growth for six consecutive months. This indicates that, despite global demand adjustments and ongoing regional economic uncertainties, Singapore’s manufacturing and electronics sectors continue to demonstrate solid resilience.

This breakthrough reflects Singapore’s sustained investments in its education system, regulatory environment, and workforce adaptability, while also signaling a significant shift in the regional talent landscape.

Singapore, November 2025 — To prevent tax base erosion and ensure alignment with international tax standards, Singapore has officially implemented a minimum 15% corporate tax rate for large multinational enterprises (MNEs) with financial years commencing on or after 1 January 2025. This measure complies with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) “Pillar Two” requirements under the second-generation Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS 2.0) framework.
